July evening Cross Country runs

Once again Keith Walker is organizing this very popular series of Thursday evening runs around the paths and byeways of Ramsden Heath during July. These runs are non-competitive and enjoyable with opportunities along the route for everybody to re-group. Refreshments are available at the Village Hall at the end of each run. The last run is on 25th July and will start and finish from the Nag’s Head and there will be a buffet after the run. The buffet will be subsidized by the club but will also require a contribution of £5 in advance from all those attending. More details later.

The runs will start from the Ramsden Heath Village Hall at 7pm every Thursday in July …. i.e. 4th, 11th and 18th with the final Nag’s Head start on 25th.

The events are in the calendar system so should appear on the ticker at the top of this Home Page.

Quote of the Day

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

(But, unless you're a runner, you won't understand.)
